Meet your fate with the Danville Symphony Orchestra! High drama awaits as your DSO tells tales of joy and woe, of tragedy and triumph - tales of the human experience, all through the power and majesty of the symphony orchestra. There are cautionary tales in the overtures from Mozart's Don Giovanni and Emilie Mayer's Faust, as well as Vincent Persichetti's The Hollow Men, based on T.S. Eliot's poem that ends "not with a bang but a whimper." But not all is lost! End the evening uplifted, transported, and triumphant with a masterpiece celebrating perseverance of the human spirit: Beethoven's magnificent Symphony No. 5!
