Carle Health Mobile Clinic offers back-to-school checks before children return to school
Urbana, Ill – Carle Health Mobile Clinic is helping area children start off the school year healthier by offering back-to-school physicals and immunizations during a two-day event in August.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29 and Thursday, Aug. 30 the mobile clinic will join other community groups in offering resources to families at Martens Center, 1515 N. Market St., Champaign, Ill. Champaign County Public Health Department staff will be at the mobile clinic as well.
“We are bringing high-quality care and supportive services into the community directly where people live, work and play,” Kelly Parker, MSN, RN, director, Carle Health Mobile Services, said.
Families can take care of required school physicals, including sports physicals and immunizations as well as access care for wellness assessments, basic laboratory testing and referrals to other medical and social services.
To avoid waiting in line, families can make appointments by calling (217) 902-6240.
