The Historic Fischer Theatre to Host Free First Responders Appreciation Night on September 11th
DANVILLE, IL. — The Historic Fischer Theatre will recognize first responders and their families with a special First Responders Appreciation Night on Friday, September 11th.
The event will offer free admission and complimentary popcorn to first responders and their families as a way of recognizing the service and commitment of those who help keep the community safe. First responders attending the event will simply be asked to show their badge upon entry.
Doors will open at 5pm, with the evening's program beginning at 6pm. The program will include a message from Danville’s Police Chief Yates, followed by a screening of Disney's animated family film “Big Hero 6.”
First Responders Appreciation Night is intended to provide local firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and other first responders with an opportunity to enjoy an evening at the Historic Fischer Theatre with their families while receiving recognition from the community they serve.
The event is sponsored by Amanda Galloway with Country Financial and Atlas Total Home, whose support makes it possible to offer admission and popcorn at no cost to first responders and their families.
